Your Local Guide to Fixing Water Damaged Floors

When you've got water where it shouldn't be, time is everything. The longer moisture sits, the more damage it can cause to your beautiful hardwood, laminate, or vinyl plank floors. It can lead to boards warping, cupping, or even starting to grow mould underneath, which is a whole other headache. That's why getting a professional in quickly is so important. We don't just fix the surface; we make sure everything underneath is properly dried and structurally sound.

Our process is straightforward. First, we'll come by and assess the extent of the damage. We'll figure out how far the water has spread and what condition the subfloor is in. For hardwood, we can often save the floor by carefully drying, sanding, and refinishing the affected area. With laminate and some types of vinyl, replacement of the damaged planks is usually the best bet, and we're wizards at making the new pieces blend in seamlessly with the old.

Repair or Replace? We'll Help You Decide.

Sometimes a repair is all that's needed. Other times, especially if the water has been sitting for a while, a full replacement of the affected area is the smarter, safer choice for your home's health. You can count on us for an honest opinion. We're not here to sell you something you don't need. We're your neighbours, and we want you to be happy with your floors for years to come. If you're looking at a water-damaged floor and don't know where to start, give us a call. We'll walk you through it. You can reach us at (647) 898-7839.

★★★★★

"We are so pleased with our new floors and staircase! The team removed carpet from two rooms, staircase & landing and replaced it all with beautiful hardwood. During our initial consultation, we were provided with several options on what would work best in the space, and a very reasonable quote. Rudy & his team are professional in every way - punctual, detail oriented and are truly experts in what they do. We will definitely call Delight Flooring for our next job - thanks again Rudy!"

"Rudy and his team was on time and on budget. They did a good job and installed flooring on our 2 storey condo. Their estimates were accurate and they finished the job on time. I would recommend them to anyone with a flooring project."

"Rudy and his assistant, Mo, worked very hard to complete our stair project on time and on budget. They did not complain or come back to us with updated quotes or other issues. We are very pleased with the final result and have received many compliments on our new staircase. To add a touch of class, we offered them water from our garage fridge and to our surprise, they replaced the water they used at the end of the week. It was a very nice (but unnecessary) thing to do. Our only issue in the end was that some of the nails were still visible on the quarter round used to finish the trim work and there were a few blemishes on the stairs we had to touch up. These were very minor and ultimately, we couldn't be happier with the completed project. We would definitely recommend Rudy and his Team."
