When you call us about a water-damaged floor, our first job is a thorough assessment. It’s not enough to just look at the surface. We need to know exactly how far the water traveled and which layers of your flooring system are affected. Using professional moisture meters, we map out the damp areas in your floorboards and, most importantly, the subfloor underneath. Ignoring a damp subfloor is a critical mistake that leads to mould, rot, and serious structural weakness. We don't take that chance. We identify the full scope of the problem before we start any work, so you know exactly what needs to be done.
Hardwood Floors: Depending on the severity, solid hardwood can sometimes be saved. If we catch it early, careful drying techniques can prevent permanent warping. However, if boards have already cupped, crowned, or buckled, the only proper solution is removal. We'll carefully extract the damaged section and lace in new boards. Our focus is on sourcing a close match for the wood species, stain, and finish to make the repair as seamless as possible.
Laminate & Engineered Floors: These floors are less forgiving. Once their core layers get saturated, they swell, peel, and delaminate. They don't return to their original shape. For these, the repair is clear: we remove all affected planks, confirm the subfloor is 100% dry and structurally sound, and then install new material. We work hard to find a replacement that matches your existing floor.
We can't say this enough: a lasting repair depends on a dry, solid subfloor. If your plywood or OSB subfloor has been soaked, it can lose its structural integrity. We won't just cover it up. If we find soft spots or lingering moisture, we'll tell you. The right way to fix it is to cut out the damaged sections and replace them. Laying a new floor over a compromised base is a recipe for failure. We build our repairs to last, and that starts from the foundation up. Get a proper fix by calling (647) 898-7839.

"Just like everyone out there trying to upgrade their home, we decided to update the living room flooring from old dirty carpet to nice low maintenance Laminate. Thinking we could do it ourselves as DIY folks. Well like all great projects, we failed to estimate the cost of the tools to do the project and our lack of expertise. In desperation, after installing the underlay, we realized we could not do the job. I was extremely luck in finding Rudy from Delightflooring. He was able to response to my email within 30 minutes and was available to start the next day on installation of our living room floor. His service is exceptional and perhaps one of the best floor installers in Canada. He worked without breaks and hard installing the floor. It came out extremely beautiful. He brought amazing tools to do the job and did the job without error on first time cuts. He tackled difficult corners and was able to make the installation seamless. Would I recommend this installer to anyone. YES YES YES. He deserves an award for being the most conscious, clean and precise installer in the construction business. We need more like him with this kind of skill and customer service."
